What are Credit Unions?
Credit Unions are a full-service financial institution owned by the people who use its services. We offer a viable banking alternative where your input counts. When you switch to a credit union, you become a member, and everyone in Nova Scotia is welcome.
As a member you become a shareholder and have a say in how the credit union operates. Credit union members have an equal say in decisions because credit unions operate on democratic principles.
The Boards job is to develop and assure adherence to credit union policies. Being owned by and accountable to our members is the key to our community focus and quality service and sets credit unions apart from other financial institutions. Visit this link for more reasons to become a credit union member.
How do I become a member?
Just drop in one of our branches. Every year, hundreds of Nova Scotians become new credit union members, the arrangements are safe, secure and hassle free.
